Q: Do I need to purchase an account?#N#A: No. The College will provide Chalk & Wire access if your course or program requires it.

PORTFOLIO PAGES

Q: I see a bunch of pages that are confusing to me – what are they for?#N#A: If you navigate away from the specific page your Canvas link takes you to, you may see other courses’ assignment pages. For your specific assignment, only use the page you are taken to when you click the link in your Canvas course.

SUBMIT

Q: How do I submit work to my assessor?#N#A: After adding content to the page, click Submit on the right side of the screen. If this button is crossed out, hover your mouse over it for an explanation. Often times the content requirements for the page have not been met.

VIEW GRADES

Q: Where can I view my assessment results/grades?#N#A: If your instructor scores and releases your results, you may receive an email notification. If not, you can find any released scores, including full rubric breakdown, comments, and/or attached files by browsing to your My Results page .

SHARING

Q: How do I share my portfolio with someone who doesn’t have Chalk & Wire?#N#A: Chalk & Wire’s Sharing feature allows you to create a secure URL that links to your portfolio. This is not the same as submitting to your instructor for a grade or collaborating in a Chalk & Wire workspace.

Q: Why are certain features missing or out of place?#N#A: Your Internet browser is likely the cause. First, try another browser (Firefox or Chrome are preferred over Internet Explorer and Safari). Clear your cache, and disable problematic add-ons.
