English Language Instructor

Instructing in-person English language courses (group and private) for adults that primarily focused on the skills of reading and writing but also integrated speaking and listening skills. Instructing a hybrid course that also included contact hours at the Banking Academy of Viet Nam in Ha Noi. Utilizing Blackboard shells for all courses.

TESOL Professional

At ALPS, I taught adults in group classes as well as individual tutoring sessions. Communicative competency levels ranged from early beginner all the way to advanced.

English Language Aide

Supported students in the English Language Development program primarily through individualized one-on-one tutoring and coaching as well as advocacy within the school.

Language Teacher & Activities Facilitator

Facilitated English language instruction of all levels for adults and for intermediate levels for learners aged 8 to 18. Campuses located in the San Francisco Bay Area and served students from all over the world.

Front End Clerk & Supervisor

Customer service in the Front End Department of a large natural foods store. Also organized employees to produce a flash mob performance of an adaptation of Mozart's "Magic Flute" in the store. We called it, "The Magic Fruit: A Co-opera".

Academic Mentor

Supported students at Eel River Community School in Fortuna, CA. Support included one-on-one tutoring, academic guidance, goal setting, and personal enrichment.

Nanny (au pair)

Caretaking and English tutoring of a preschool aged girl and an elementary aged boy.
