You can add online lectures, multimedia, and links to websites and social media.
Announcements are an ideal way to post time-sensitive information critical to course success. You can add announcements to alert your students to these types of course activities: 1 Due dates for assignments and projects 2 Changes to your syllabus 3 Corrections or clarifications of materials 4 Exam schedules
Course calendar. The calendar displays a consolidated view of all your institution, course, organization, and personal calendar events. You can view events by day, week or month. Use the course calendar to provide students with dates for course-related events. Course calendar events appear to all members of the course.
Your syllabus acts as your course planning tool. You can provide details about your course structure, participation standards, and even the social online behavior you expect in your virtual classroom. Your syllabus functions as a contract between you and your students.
Your course roster shows you a searchable list of users enrolled in your course. In the Ultra Course View, you can message anyone involved with your course. If allowed by your institution, you can enroll users in your course.
Online discussions provide unique benefits. Because students can take time to ponder before they post ideas, you may see more thoughtful conversations. You can observe as students demonstrate their grasp of the material and correct misconceptions.
Use online tests as you do in your face-to-face classroom to gauge student knowledge and progress. Based on your course view, you can choose your settings for scoring, feedback, images, extra credit, and how questions are displayed to students.
You'll still be able to access all the content currently on our help site. Access to the help site from within the product remains the same. The layout of the pages will be updated slightly to display one course view on a single page instead of combining both. We anticipate this update being completed by May 25, 2021.
You may be familiar with our help content, currently laid out like this:
Our help URLs will reflect the course view in the URL when the redesign deploys. For example, the current student URL for Tests and Surveys:
Our help site platform will automatically redirect your existing bookmarked URLs to our Ultra Course View content pages. We recommend updating your bookmarks if you're using Original Course View. There's no need to update your bookmarks if you're using Ultra Course View. You'll still be able to access the other course view from each page in help.
The information and screenshots won't change as part of the redesign. You can still use the accompanying images to determine your experience and course view. We will continue to provide information on how users can determine their course view.
