Edit Mode allows instructors to manage their courses. This button is located in the upper‐right corner of each Course area. With Edit Mode ON you can easily manage course content. With Edit Mode OFF you see what your students see.
Go to Courses on the Admin Panel and search for the course you want to edit. In the list of results in the Course View column, you can see the view for each course. In the course's menu, select Edit, and then choose the course view. A course must be unavailable to change the course view option.
Point to the themes icon to view all the available course themes and select one. Scroll through the theme preview box and select a theme. The course theme changes immediately to the new choice. To change the theme, select another.
To change the course view: Change the image in the Grid View for your course by selecting the menu option. Note: When using the Ultra Base Navigation it is recommended that you use the Chrome or Firefox Browser for optimal views. Click on the pencil icon to edit your image. Add the image and save.
In the top right corner of your course you can click the Edit Mode button to turn the Edit Mode on and off. When Edit Mode is ON, you see all the course content and the editing controls for each item. Edit Mode OFF hides the editing controls but still displays any content that would normally be hidden from a student.

The Ultra Course View is cleaner with a more modern design and easy-to-use workflows. It also has powerful new tools that are not available in the Original Course View, like Discussion Analytics. There are some features of the Original Course View that are not available in the Ultra Course View, however.
