Chalkboard vinyl is just what the name implies. It is designed to be used as a chalkboard. However it does not really work all that well with regular chalk. It is a translucent light blue, thicker vinyl, with a grid on it and is sticky on the back. It is used to make stencils, not to be used as actual vinyl to be left on products.
