Place two teaspoons of lemon oil on a dry cloth. Fold the cloth into a square, and put it into a sealed plastic bag. Lemon oil will also make your chalkboard shinier. After letting it sit for a day, remove the cloth from the plastic bag, and wipe the blackboard with the lemon-oil covered cloth.
The first thing to try if a wet paper towel is not removing chalk marker is to add a little vinegar. Start with a 70% water 30% vinegar mix and go up from there. If vinegar and water are not doing the trick try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
All you need to do is spray some Windex onto your board and let it sit for a period of time before wiping it off with a soft cloth. If you can still see writing after the first run, repeat the process and it should be off in no time.
Mix 1 cup white vinegar to four parts water in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture onto a microfiber cloth. Wipe down the board from the top to the bottom. Rinse the chalk dust off the cloth and reload it with the vinegar mixture as needed.
