Chalkboard markers are used to write on chalkboards like normal chalk. These markers look really good on chalkboards because they don't have the grainy effect that normal chalk does. The cool thing about chalk markers is that you can use them on other surfaces too! They write on windows, glass, windshields, and more.
Liquid chalk pens are available in a range of sizes, with 2mm, 6mm and 15mm nibs all giving different sized lines and suiting different sizes of chalkboard. For most boards, a 6mm nib is perfect for writing in a clear but well-defined way.
The most common cause of not being able to erase chalkboard markers is that the markers themselves are not high quality. For this reason, we recommend using Bistro Chalk Markers. They come in a variety of colors including pastels and metallics! Another cause is that the surface you are writing on is porous.

Liquid chalk markers work excellently on wood but not on MDF (medium-density fiberboard). Only traditional chalk works on MDF. If you have drawn your chalk art on wood, though, erasing takes some work. The usual way to clean the surface is by using a vinegar solution.Oct 25, 2017

Mix 1 cup white vinegar to four parts water in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture onto a microfiber cloth. Wipe down the board from the top to the bottom. Rinse the chalk dust off the cloth and reload it with the vinegar mixture as needed.
