Right-click Avast Free Antivirus or Avast Premium Security, then select Uninstall from the drop-down menu. If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes. When the Avast Setup wizard appears, click Repair. Wait while setup repairs your Avast application.
Sometimes it's not possible to uninstall Avast the standard way - using the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS in control panel. In this case, you can use our uninstallation utility avastclear. If you installed Avast in a different folder than the default, browse for it.
