Some are very simple, such as if you want to know the last time a student (or students) logged into your course site. You can look in the Grade Center and, unless you hid it, there is a column that shows the last date of access for each student.

Accessing a Student's Test Attempt

Viewing the Student's Attempt Information

You will now see the student's attempt. At the top of the page, click on Test Information and then click on the Access Log button

You will now see the student's log onscreen. It will appear similar to the one in the image above. The columns from left to right show the following information: Date and Time, Activity Type, Time in Test, and Time Spent. When finished, click the X in the upper right corner to exit.

What to expect

You'll arrive at two scatter plots. The first compares the student's activity count over time to the class average. The second compares the student's grade over time to the class average. You'll notice the student's activity and grade decrease or increase in conjunction.

Download your data. Select the Download options icon to save your data either as an image or PDF.
