This truncation is used only for display and values are never rounded up. Further calculations use the full number up to 15 decimal places. Examples of truncation: 83.333333333333333…% will display as 83.33333%

Numbers between 1-4 are rounded down while 5-9 are rounded up. If your professor decides to round off final grades, expect 89.4 to be 89.0 while 89.5 to round up to 90. A simple method for curving grades is to add the same amount of points to each student's score.
