No they can’t. I’m a senior now and there have been times where I have one BBL tab open with my exam and another BBL tab open with notes from the class. Never been caught in my 4 years. Can blackboard detect tab switching? Canada. So I took a test today on the blackboard but with the google tab open on the side. Being the dumbass that I am I just forgot to close it cause I was just so nervous for the test. The test was not conducted with a lockdown browser or Proctorio, and it was just on google chrome and the blackboard website.
Otherwise they can't take your tests. Also, Blackboard allows you to make short answer and essay questions. It's harder to cheat on those. You can also shuffle questions so that they are different. The best thing to do is create questions that involve more critical thinking that you can't cheat on.
