Activate Your OHIO ID

To get started, it is essential that you activate your OHIO ID. You need your OHIO ID to access your OHIO e-mail. Your birth date and your personal identification (PID) number (provided in your application acknowledgement letter) are all you need to officially activate your online OHIO access.

Complete Pre-enrollment Discipline and Criminal History Review Form

This quick, simple form is required for all admitted students as part of our commitment to providing the safest possible learning environment at Ohio University. The Required Pre-enrollment Discipline and Criminal History Review form is available in your MyOHIO Student Center and should be completed immediately.

Complete the Online Orientation

You will receive an email from [email protected] that includes the name of your academic advisor and a link to the online orientation. A hold will be placed on your student account until you complete the online orientation. After the hold is removed, you can register for classes.

Visit the Nursing Knowledge Center

If you are an RN to BSN admitted student, the Nursing Knowledge Center contains all of the information you need prior to enrollment that is specific to your degree.

Transfer Your Credits

Ohio University recognizes several kinds of transferable credits, including those from other institutions and exam credit.

Talk With Your Academic Advisor

When transfer credit has been applied to your student record and an updated Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS) report is available, your advisor will be in contact with you to set up an advising appointment during which you will review personalized program information.

NEW! Expanded RN to BSN student advising options

Ohio University School of Nursing academic advisors are available Monday - Friday 8 am – 5 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) to assist with questions related to the RN to BSN program. Students may contact an advisor during this timeframe by emailing their assigned advisor directly, by emailing [email protected], or by calling 740.593.4494.

RN to BSN Program Town Hall Meetings

RN to BSN students are invited to attend the following virtual Town Hall meetings. This is an opportunity to hear program updates and news, and to talk with the School of Nursing Director and academic advisors. All meetings will begin at 8:30 am EST and a reminder email with the zoom link to the meetings will be sent out a week in advance.
