The full grade center will show you every gradable item, even if it has already been graded. Ungraded items will appear as a yellow circle with an exclamation point in it. Hover your mouse over one of the yellow circles and click the down arrow that appears. From the menu that appears, click the Attempt link.

Override grades are grades you assign manually, for example, if you type in the grade pill in the gradebook. An override label appears next to the grade. In the grade pill, you can type a numeric value of no more than five digits.

A true override grade is applied to attempt-based Grade Center items only—tests and assignments. An override grade takes precedence over all other grade entries, including attempts a student submits after you assign an override grade. For example, a grade is based on the average of multiple assignment attempts.
When you assign a grade to a cell with no attempt for an assignment or a test, it's an override grade. The Override icon appears in the grade cell. You can assign a grade for an interactive tool's gradable activity when no activity exists, but no icon appears in the grade cell.Aug 2, 2018
You can exempt a grade from a student's record and the grade is ignored in all Grade Center calculations. The grade cell displays the Exempt icon. You can also apply an exemption before a grade is assigned. If you assigned a grade and then exempted it, the grade remains available on the Grade Details page.
