To access the Student Preview mode in Blackboard, click on the Student Preview mode button at the top of the page, indicated by two curved arrows surrounding a dot.
To enter student preview mode, select the Enter Student Preview icon. Student preview creates a student account, called the preview user. You're logged in as the preview user and enrolled in the current course. When you enter student preview mode, the student preview bar appears at the top of each page.
You can find the student view by clicking the "Settings" link in the left sidebar. Then, click on "Student View" on the right side of the page.
When the text you enter into Blackboard has extra space, has funny characters, or looks goofy in some other way, this usually happens when you cut and paste from a Word document or from the web.

If students can't see an assignment or a quiz, check the release date. If students can't see an assignment or a quiz, and you are delivering it through modules, make sure both assignment/quiz and module is published. Also check the release date of module.

Blackboard recommends JRE versions 7 and 8 for features that depend on it. JRE version 6 might work but could result in unexpected behavior. Oracle has acknowledged some security issues with JRE version 6. Blackboard Learn does not require any other browser plug-ins.
After the due date has passed and you open a test, you’re alerted that your submission will be marked late. You can view the alert in the Details & Information panel and on the test page. In the Details & Information panel, you can also see if any submissions are or will be late.
Instructors use tests to assess your knowledge of course content and objectives. Your instructor assigns point values to questions in a test. You submit your test for grading and the results are recorded. You can view your grades when your instructor makes them available to you.
Proctored tests. Proctored tests are delivered with tools provided by proctoring services. Your instructor can add a proctoring service to a test. This is different than adding an access code, and the proctoring service may require a verification check to make sure your system is running the required setup.
Access code. Your instructor may require a 6-digit access code. Instructors issue the access codes, but they might have another person, such as a proctor, deliver the codes. After you type the code, you can open the test. You can use the code to resume a test you saved.
Your instructor may choose not to reveal the correct answers to automatically scored questions until all students have submitted. A banner appears at the top of the assessment with this information. Check back later to see if answers have been revealed.
If your instructor added a rubric for grading to a test, you can view it before you open the test and after you start the attempt. Select This item is graded with a rubric to view the rubric.

If you turn on Force Completion, students must complete the test when they launch it.#N#Students may only access the test ONE TIME.#N#The Save function is available for students to save the questions as they work through them, but they may not exit and re-enter the test. In the instructions, Force Completion is noted and explained to students.
If you set the timer, you can turn on Auto-Submit.#N#Tests are automatically saved and submitted when the time expires.
