Use the trimming tool to trim the start and/or end of your media. Trimming is only available to entitled users. Trimming media will modify the source media permanently. Create a clip to trim a copy and preserve the original media in Kaltura.

Launching the Kaltura Editor To the right of the video, you will see a Launch Editor button. Clicking this will take you into Kaltura's direct video-editing tool. Within this editor you can trim the start and/or end of your video, or chop and splice to remove a segment from the middle of your video.
If you need to edit the recording, you can use the drop down arrow next to the recordings name and select “Edit Recording.” a. This will then open a window that allows you to edit the recording. You can change the recordings name and description, the courses the recording is available to, and enable guest links.
To edit your media, go to My Media and select the edit button near the video you want to edit. The edit media page opens up with the editing tabs. The editing tab options are dependent upon the settings on your Kaltura environment.
Clipping allows you to create a new segment of a larger video or audio file. It is available for all single-source uploads, captures or imports of video and audio assets. At this time, multi-source captures or Zoom recordings, along with Live Broadcasts do not have the clipping function available.
Go to the folder or location on your computer in which the video clip that you want to edit is stored. Right-click the video. Doing so prompts a drop-down menu to appear. If your mouse doesn't have a right-click button, click the right side of the mouse, or use two fingers to click the mouse.
The hotspot functionality in Kaltura is designed to display a configurable hotspot on top of a video during playback. When a viewer clicks the hotspot, they are taken to either another timestamp within the video or a URL depending on how the video author configures the hotspot.
