PDFs can be uploaded to Blackboard sites and displayed for students in a variety of ways. Most common of these is to add them as items within folders. This is done using the Build Content drop down menu, firstly by creating a folder (Fig 1), then by adding PDFs as attachments within Items (Fig 2).
Blackboard offers two ways to download the contents of a course for future use elsewhere—the Archive Tool and the Export Tool. Use the Export tool to create a package file containing all of the course content for the purpose reusing the course content at a later date or at another institution.
It does not record how many times any file attachments to the item have been downloaded and opened. It will not tell you that a student has read the content of the item nor any attachments.Jan 27, 2021
