How to Download Recorded Panopto Lectures and Sessions from Blackboard. If your course teaching team have allowed it, you may download Recorded Lectures and Sessions to view offline.
From the Collaborate scheduler, select Recordings and find the recording you want. Open the Recording options and select Recording settings. Change the name and select Save.
Recording menu: Open the Recording menu at the top left of your screen. From here you can download the full recording, download caption transcripts, download chat transcripts, get extra help, or report an issue if you are having trouble with the recording.

When you click Join Room on the Room Details page or a recording link in the Recordings table, Blackboard Collaborate checks to see if you have the launcher installed. If you do not, Blackboard Collaborate prompts you to download it.

It does not record how many times any file attachments to the item have been downloaded and opened. It will not tell you that a student has read the content of the item nor any attachments.
To download a PDF from Blackboard, use the save icon on the PDF (not in the web browser). Instructors may have added class slides to Blackboard in one of two ways: As a PowerPoint file which opens within Blackboard or within a new window. In this case, right-click and save the document from its link in Blackboard.
