To better understand the impact and challenges of the recent K-12 transition to online learning, University of Phoenix tapped Edelman Intelligence to conduct an online survey of 1,000+ K-12 teachers in the United States. The study found there is deep concern about the impact virtual teaching may have on students' development (90%), but that teachers do not feel properly prepared to teach virtually.

The second kickoff webinar leading up to the Summer Virtual Teaching Academy, June 26 – July 1, will feature a moderated panel discussion designed to support K-12 public district leaders in their thinking, analysis, and planning of where they need to be in the fall regarding continuity of learning and virtual teaching and learning.
Part of the Virtual Teaching Academy, the breakout tracks will provide planning blueprints and actionable tips for attendees to navigate the new virtual environment that many will encounter next school year. Sessions will be broken out into two tracks, zeroing in on topics and content most relevant for district/school leaders and teachers.
