If a student needs to retake a quiz that they have already taken, you will need to reset that student's score to enable a new attempt. This is not the same as assigning a zero (0) to a quiz. A zero is recorded as a score and will not allow the student to retake the quiz.

Click on the Ignore Attempt button to ignore a student's attempt. When choosing Ignore Attempt, student will be able to submit the assignment or test again; however, unlike Clear Attempt, his/her previous attempt will be kept in case you need it in the future.
Tell your teacher the reason for your poor grade on the test - if they ask. It's very possible your teacher will ask why you need the retake. In that case, be honest. Letting them know helps them assess how they can best help you succeed in their class.
