MP4 Video files originally uploaded to Blackboard before the 2015-16 academic year will not play in Chrome or Firefox, and will display as shown below.
Sep 27, 2021 · When the browser window becomes too small, the pull-out tab to show or hide the course menu may not be visible on the left as expected. Users must scroll to the right to see it. Workaround : A fix has been applied to address this issue.
Nov 18, 2021 · There is currently no known timeframe on a fix for this issue, but there are suggested workarounds. Users can use Firefox or Google Chrome, or they can turn off the setting in Microsoft Edge. Google Chrome is the recommended browser for Blackboard Learn. To turn off the setting in Microsoft Edge: Open the Edge menu and click Settings.
I'm running Chrome version 73.0.3683.103 (Official Build) (64-bit) on a Dell desktop computer. All of a sudden it will not load Print Preview. I select Print and it will not complete this step - it just sits at Loading preview with 3 dancing dots. I'm reasonably computer literate (66 years old) but I can't figure out what is going on.
Make sure that cookies from third parties are allowed. Third party cookies are allowed by default on all supported browsers. If you experience problems staying logged in to Blackboard, please check your browser settings to make sure you allow third party cookies.

Sometimes even when setting Adobe Acrobat DC as the Default, downloaded PDFs will open in Chrome instead. This is because Chrome is set to use it's integrated PDF viewer when files are downloaded by default. You will need to turn this off to make it go away.Apr 7, 2020
For Google Chrome version 60 and below Scroll down on the bottom and click on Advanced. Click on Site Settings. Scroll to the bottom and click on Additional content settings. Click on PDF Documents and uncheck Open PDF files in the default PDF viewer application.

Make sure your browser is a selected app for both the Camera and Microphone. Open Chrome Preferences, select Advanced and Site Settings. Select Camera or Microphone. Make sure the session is in the Allow list.
2. Google Chrome versions 42+, Mozilla Firefox versions 52+, and Microsoft Edge don't support NPAPI-type plug-ins, including Java plug-ins and many media browser plug-ins. Blackboard doesn't support these browsers for using embedded media types that require third-party NPAPI plug-ins for viewing.
