Default maximum upload limit The default size limit for content uploaded through the user interface is 2500 MB. When attempting to upload files larger than 2500 MB using the interface, users will receive an error. This limit does not apply to Web Folder or Blackboard Drive uploads.
Uploading files using the content collection allows you to upload several files at once to be stored in your Blackboard space before posting them into a content area for students to access. This can be a useful way to upload all your lecture notes or PDF documents quickly and effectively.

A simple Gmail account allows you to upload attachments that are up to 25MB, so only allowing for 5MB is very low. It's even more frustrating because our company is only using 9% of it's total available space, so there's plenty of room available for a couple larger attachments.
