With Hot Spot questions, students are presented with an image and select a particular area as the answer. Have the image file ready before you create the question. You can upload it from your computer or link to it from Course Files or Content Collection.
1- Click on “Create Question”, then 2- Click “Essay”. In the Create/Edit Essay Question page: 1- Enter Question Text. You can format the text and include images, links and mashups using the text editor. 2- You can optionally enter a sample answer, a rubric, category and keywords, and instructor notes.

Some types of questions, such as true/false and multiple choice, are graded automatically, while others, such as short answer and essay questions, must be graded manually. You also have the option of adjusting a grade for an automatically graded question.
Create a Short Answer question Access a test, survey, or pool. From the Create Question menu, select Short Answer. Type the Question Text. Select the Number of Rows to Display in the Answer Field from the menu.
An essay question will have an instruction or action word(s), e.g. Discuss, Explain, Evaluate, etc. You will need to think about these words and their usage, if you are writing your own question, as they will indicate what is to come in your essay.
For tests, after you select the title, the View Attempts page opens. Select the grade to review your submission. To view the grades for the course you're in, select the My Grades link on the course menu or on the Tools page. Your instructor controls which links appear on the course menu.
From a student's submission, you can open a question's menu and select Edit/Regrade to make changes or give full credit to everyone.
