Courses are made available in Blackboard the first day the course is scheduled to begin, or sometimes a few days in advance. If your course begins on Monday, August 21, you may not see your course in Blackboard until that day. If you are scheduled for a later starting NOVA Online course you may not see your course until closer to that start date.

Canvas is NSU's official learning management system (LMS) as of Fall 2018. After a successful pilot involving our faculty and students, consensus was gained at the Presidents' Council meeting to replace Blackboard with Canvas.
Open a browser and type in the URL to access the myNOVA Login Portal (http://nvcc.my.vccs.edu). The myNOVA Login Portal screen displays. Enter your myNOVA log in Username and Password and then click on Sign In. The myNOVA Main Menu displays.
You can click the Find My ID button to be sure that your NOVA EMPLID is available. If you still cannot log on using the EMPLID you found, you should contact the IT Help Desk and we will be glad to assist you.
Canvas Mobile App The Canvas LMS offers NOVA students new ways to engage with faculty, with course materials and with each other.
Open a browser and type in the URL to access the myNOVA Login Portal. The myNOVA Login Portal screen displays. On the myNOVA Login Portal screen, click on Forgot Username and follow the instruction to find your Username. After you find your Username, return to the myNOVA Login screen.
STEP 1: Go to https://nvcc.dualenroll.com/login. STEP 2: Select “Click here” to begin creating your account. STEP 3: Find and select your high school and enter your personal data. Then, you will need to provide your personal email to receive a verification code to activate your account.
