Bitrate is a measure of how much audio and video data is being delivered. Generally, the higher the number, the better the quality. However, the content being shared has an impact on this number as well. For example, if you are only sharing audio, this number will be low simply because audio does not have a very high bitrate. Collaborate dynamically adjusts to sending and receiving connection bandwidth changes in the quality of your internet connection. As your connection improves or degrades, the bandwidth use for video is adjusted up and down.

Typically Java is not necessary for much of Blackboard functionality. If your Instructor or Course requires it, make sure Java is updated and enabled on your computer; you can verify this at Java Tester. Turn off screensaver, sleep mode, and standby mode to prevent them from interrupting your internet session.
Some tests may be taken more than once, while others can only be taken once. Some tests may require that they be completed in one sitting (force completion), while some tests may allow you to complete one section and then return to finish additional sections.
If you choose, you can clear a student's test attempt. The submission is cleared from the gradebook and the student can retake the test.
You can give an individual student an exception on a specific test. An exception includes additional attempts or extended access, even if the test is hidden from other students. An exception overrides the two settings applied to everyone else for only that specific test.
