What is a CaneID? A CaneID is your user ID that can be used to access any and all of the University of Miami's enterprise applications (i.e. CaneLink, myUM, Workday, Blackboard, Disclosure Profile System, etc.)
How can I obtain my C number? To obtain your C number, call the Office of Engagement at (305) 284-2872 or email [email protected] with your name, date of birth and graduation year.
This number, sometimes referred to as your emplID, can be found by clicking on the CaneLink Dashboard menu page, selecting the My Profile tab and clicking General Information.
No problem! You can get a new card and combine it with your current account so you don't lose visits or rewards.
Your UMID is an eight digit number located near your mailing address on any prospective student information from the office. If you (the applicant) call the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 734-764-7433, they can give you your UMID if you are currently in their system.Jul 23, 2019
To change your password, please visit the CaneID Self-Service portal at: caneid.miami.edu. Under "Manage Your CaneID," you can change your password, and, if you have not done so already, you will be required to add/update your security questions and answers.
