Click on the drop-down menu (2) and choose "Show Link" or "Hide Link" (3) to Show or Hide that content link. If a link is hidden from students, you will still see it but it will be missing from your students' course menu.
The Media Gallery is a searchable list of all media that has been assigned to a Blackboard course. Available via Control Panel -> Course Tools -> Media Gallery, you can also add the tool to your Course Menu to give students access to it where they can upload their own videos pending your approval.
When students click on My Media in their Canvas account, they will see their own personal and private library of videos: they will NOT see your videos. Items in My Media are private to you until they are published somewhere. You can also add other users as collaborators on your media from within My Media. Media Gallery: The Media Gallery is private to the course you are in. Everyone enrolled in that course can see what's published to the Media Gallery.
Accessing My Media from the Blackboard HomepageLog into Blackboard.Locate the My Media module on the Blackboard homepage and click on the My Media Link. Note: If you do not see the My Media module, you can add it by following these steps: Click Add Module on your My Institution page. In the search box type “My Media.”
By default, all Canvas courses have Media Library enabled. It appears in the left-hand navigation bar. After clicking “Media Library” in the navigation bar, you can click the blue “Create” button and select “Upload Media” To upload a file, click the window that appears or drag-and-drop a file into the window.
The Media Gallery now appears in the Canvas course navigation menu, on the left side of the page, for everyone who has access to the course.
Media Gallery is the place, within a course, where you can choose and post videos from your My Media collection for your students to view, in the context of the course. Instructions on working with Media Gallery are here.
A shared repository that is specific to the Canvas course allowing your students and anyone else who has access to your Canvas course, such as a teaching assistants, to upload videos and view any videos that are in the Media Gallery.
