How to Access Blackboard. You can access Blackboard (Bb) with your FIT username and password at http://fitnyc.open.suny.edu. As long as your department has assigned you as the instructor of your course in Banner, your course will appear in Blackboard.
Online courses run asynchronously on the same semester schedule as face-to-face courses. Activities in online courses are the same as in a traditional class: Students read course materials, write papers, conduct research, take exams, and communicate with their instructor and fellow students.

With a high school diploma or a passing score on the General Educational Development (GED) test or Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC), you can apply to any of FIT's associate degree programs. After the completion of your associate's degree in two years, you can go on to earn a bachelor's degree at FIT.
