Go to the discussion and expand the Participants section to view who has contributed or search for a participant. Select participants' names to see a list of their responses and replies.
In a course, access the Messages page on the navigation bar. All your course messages and responses appear. You can easily scan the entire list and open a message to read all the responses. Your unread messages appear first in the list.
On the Administrator Panel in the Tools and Utilities section, select Course Messages to access the options. These options apply to all Ultra and Original courses and organizations. You can choose not to allow students to reply to or create messages in their courses.
There are three main ways to respond constructively to a post: “No, because...” • “Yes, and…” • “Yes, but...” If you disagree with someone's post, show that you appreciate that your classmate has an opinion, even if it's different from your own.

Similar to Blackboard Email, Messages are internal to Blackboard. The messages tool allows you to easily manage Blackboard communications within your individual Blackboard courses.
Moderators supervise all private chats: When selected, moderators can see everything that is said in private chat channels. An alert appears at the top of the private chat channel informing users that the chat is being supervised. If you don't select it, you don't see the private chat channels.
Cancel a message Select the message you want to cancel. Select Cancel.
Click on the Attendees icon located in the Collaborate Panel. Click on the Attendees Control panel and select Send a chat message. Type your message in the Say something text box. Click on the Chat icon to access your active chat streams.Mar 19, 2020

Click on the Introduction Forum Module > Click the Reply button > Write your response in the Text Box that appears (or copy/paste from a Word document you created your post in) > Click the Post Reply button. Once you click the Reply button - a text box will appear.
