Alerts can be triggered by a student's ranking or grade being in the top percentage of the class, or when a student drops to the lowest percentages of the class. Select the stream alert to view the data.
From your activity stream or your Grades page, you arrive at a scatter plot comparing student activity to grade. You have a broad view of your students' performance in relation to each other and their activity levels.
For example, a value of zero indicates that students' grades closely reflect their engagement. A negative value might suggest students are more active in the course than their grades reflect. A positive value might mean students work less often than their grades suggest.

In the Course Activity Related to Grades report, also known as learning analytics, you can view how active your students are in your course materials. This activity has been shown to correlate strongly with course outcomes.
