Using Blackboard Collaborate for Conferences & Meetings

Open a Ticket through the IT Self-Service Portal to Request a Supervisor Account or inquire about a one-time event session.

Training

Training is offered through Instructional Design and Distance Learning. Check the Workshop Registration System calendar for upcoming scheduled trainings, Request a Session with Instructional Design and Distance Learning, or use the Book One-on-one Appointment button below.

Training

Sessions can be located on the Workshop Registration System. If sessions are not available that meet your needs, you can Request Training from IDT. Knowledge base articles are also available for on-demand learning.

Accessing Blackboard

You can access your Blackboard account by visiting the faculty and staff MyBuffState page, clicking the Blackboard link, and signing in with your Buffalo State username and password.​

Preparing Course Content

Blackboard has a variety of tools to assist you in building your course content. To learn about these tools, you can self-enroll in the IT Professional Development Organization (search IT), check out IDT's Website, Blackboard Knowledge Base Articles or review Blackboard Learn's website.

Additional Functionality

Request a merged roster site - If you find yourself posting the same materials to different course sections of the same course during a semester, you can request that your course sections be combined into a single Blackboard course site.
