The Fall Semester begins in August, the Spring Semester in January and the Summer Semester in May. All new students should check with the Office of Admissions/ Registrar for specific dates in that they vary from year to year.
NOTE: transcripts will not be faxed to an individual or a receiving institution. Official transcripts will be accepted when delivered “by hand”. The transcript must be official and in a sealed envelope with the seal unbroken. The College reserves the right to deny hand delivered transcripts if the seal is broken.
High school students in the 10th, 11th or 12th grade in Madison County and parts of Morgan County are eligible to enroll in free STEM classes at Drake State Community & Technical College this fall.
Drake State's new Child Care and Development program will launch this fall providing students with another career option and helping address a workforce need in our region.
Drake State President Dr. Patricia Sims will participate in a college presidents roundtable initiative for the Southeast region.
A collaboration between Drake State Community & Technical College and the Moon Village Association will create STEM learning opportunities for Drake State students and area high school students.
The College campus will be closed. All employees/students are expected to work/attend classes remotely.
Students who complete the NAHA boot camp program can apply to Drake State to receive college credit for the material learned in the NAHA course.
Drake State is a two-year comprehensive Community and Technical College training students for current and future emp l oyment in career technical programs or university transfer. The programs offer options for an associate in applied science degree or a certificate program allowing for immediate entry into the workforce.
The Advanced Manufacturing Programs provide students with a foundation of education and technical skills that will be the start of a process of lifelong learning. The programs offer the training needed for a career in many promising fields.
