If you're still wondering whether are chalkboards still used in schools or not, your answer is yes, they are. While interactive whiteboards and regular whiteboards continue to take over many new classrooms, it's also easy to see why so many educators are reluctant to give up their chalkboards.
These days, most chalkboards are sold to restaurants, not to schools. The link between whiteboards and digital culture helped many U.S. schools adopt smartboards. By 2014, 60 percent of K-12 classrooms had interactive whiteboards, a figure that's expected to increase to 73 percent by 2019.Oct 13, 2016
The companies did not share any financial data, but the combined entity is likely to be among the sector's biggest educational technology firms. The company and pay is great. The only thing lacking in the Raleigh office is a cohesive culture. It is a Support hub, so Sales reps can often feel isolated. Another related issue was my manager always being located in another state and being "too hands-off."
Working for a technology company usually means good variety in the job, and Blackboard is no different.
Poor upper management, different divisions don't communicate well, salaries below market rate.
I was working for a company called AlertNow and we were acquired by Blackboard a few weeks into my employment. They introduced a lot of changes that seemed to fit well.
Blackboard has many different departments and opportunities to learn from. It is an excellent place to start a career and there is room for advancement.
Blackboard has a lot of good people in the Transact department. Hard work, helping our customers get the most of their software. I enjoyed excellent management in the Customer Support division.
A good company that keeps moving forward. I was in the client care team and it was an internship. Fun and rewarding. Free drink all day and all kind. Sometimes you may get a free lunch or party at the resting room during the break in the noon. I hope i can learn more from my coworkers!
