Login to Blackboard and enter into any section of the course you want to build your Blackboard Collaborate session in. Click on the Tools button on the left hand main navigation menu. Locate and click on Blackboard Collaborate. Click Create Session.

Not sure where to find Blackboard Collaborate in your course? Jump to Join Sessions and select your LMS. Select the session name or Session options menu to join the session. This opens a panel with the information to you need to join the session: Join Session link associated with your account. Select this to open the session.
From your course: Open Collaborate from inside your course. It opens in your learning management system. From your phone: If offered by your institution, you can use the telephony feature to communicate with other users. From the Blackboard Instructor app: You can launch sessions from Blackboard Instructor when links are provided in your courses.
Open the link in your browser. Blackboard Collaborate is at the top of the screen. It mentions what session you are joining and there is a place for you to type your name. Select Join Session after typing your name.

Courses may not appear in the My Courses module in Blackboard for a few reasons: The instructor has not yet published the course for student view (most common reason). The student has not yet successfully registered and paid for the course. There may be an issue with the student's enrollment.

A course must be made available before students enrolled in the course can view or access the course and its content. However, you may want to make a course unavailable during the building process or after a scheduled course has finished.
Mark a course as complete. You can choose to set your course to Complete when the course has ended, but you can no longer make changes to it . Students can access the content, but they can't participate in the course any longer. For example, they can't reply to discussions or submit assignments.
Blackboard administrators, instructors, course builders, teaching assistants, and graders can see and access unavailable courses from the My Courses tab and the course list, but they're marked as unavailable. Students can't access unavailable courses regardless of the course duration.
