Start Date: To specify the starting date for the course, check the box next to Start Date and use the date picker to select the starting date. End Date: To specify the ending date, check the box next to End Date and use the date picker to select the ending date for the course. Continuous: Create a term with no beginning or end. Select Dates: Set calendar dates for the beginning and end of the term. The Start Date must be earlier than the End Date. Courses become available on the morning of the start date (00:01). Courses become unavailable on of the evening of the end date (23:59).
When you are finished with a course and no longer wish to view it in your course list, you can remove it from the My Courses section on the Welcome to Learn page or the Courses tab in Blackboard. Hover the mouse over the My Courses bar on the right hand side, and click on the My Courses gear button.

Log into Blackboard Learn and enter the course. In the Course Management menu under Customization, click Properties. Under Set Availability, check the radio button next to "Yes" for Make Course Available. Click the Submit button.
The instructor has not yet published the course for student view (most common reason). The student has not yet successfully registered and paid for the course. There may be an issue with the student's enrollment. The student may have a hold on his/her record.
When you create a course, you can control the length of time a course is active. A course can be active continuously, between select dates, or for an amount of time from enrollment. The course's start and end dates control where it appears on the Courses page:
Terms are defined time periods meant to help institutions organize courses according to the academic calendar. You can add courses to a term so availability options are automatic based on the term's settings.
Even though the Blackboard archive file is not usable outside of Blackboard, it is still possible to retrieve some student data from a course that can be opened and reviewed if necessary.
Archives contain the course content as well as all of the data about the course: grades, submissions, discussion posts, test attempts, etc. However, the archive cannot be imported into Canvas.

You will now see a screen labeled Properties. To change the course duration, go to the section labeled Set Course Duration:
You can find and download copies of archived courses in the Blackboard Learn user interface. In the Content Management menu on the Admin Panel, select Manage Content. Select internal > autoArchive. Course archives are stored in folders. Locate the course in the list and select a folder to see the available archives.
It is possible to download several automatic course archives using the bulk archive download script. With this script you can select the specific courses you need or, download the archives for all courses created within a specified date range.
