In Assignment Settings, you can choose to let students submit more than one attempt. Multiple attempts change how the assignment's final grade is calculated.

Multiple Attempts The number of submissions and the ability to re-submit an assignment is controlled by the Instructor of a class. If the assignment is set to allow re-submissions, then when you go back to the assignment, a button will appear near the bottom of the screen labeled "Start New Submission."

To change the policy settings for student attempts, select an assignment from your Section Home page. Click policies (A) and then select view & edit policies (B). Click expand advanced settings (A) and then click edit (C) next to attempts.

To delete a quiz/exam attempt: Click 'Attempts' to pull up a list of submissions from your entire class. Select the desired student by checking the box next to their name. Click 'Delete selected attempts. ' This will permanently remove their attempt from the system.
This article only applies to faculty members. Students who need additional attempts for an assignment need to contact their professor for assistance. The Tech Support Center can NOT view or reset items submitted to Blackboard.
Do this if you want to give your student an additional attempt but don't want to delete the record of their first attempt.
Do this if you want to delete the student's previous submission. This will allow them to re-submit the assignment but will not keep a record of the original submission.
