Pin Discussion by Dragging To drag a discussion, hover over the discussion you want to move. Drag the discussion into the Pinned Discussion area. Release your mouse and the discussion will be in the Pinned Discussions area.
You can “lock” discussion threads in Blackboard so that new posts are disabled, yet students can read all existing posts.
Pinned discussions allow instructors to save discussions s/he would like students to see first. "Pinned" is for discussions that an instructor wants to fix in place regardless of the activity. Pin it to make it stick! The order of "pinned" Discussions won't change inside the "Pinned" area. If you don't pin any Discussions, this "Pinned" heading will be invisible to students, although you will continue to see it.
