Browse for a file from your computer. A status window appears to show the progress of the file upload. You can edit the file's settings, including the display name, alternative text, and display behavior.

You can use the Insert/Edit Media from Web option to insert media directly into the editor. The editor automatically embeds the content so it appears alongside the other content you include. Course members can view the content, such as a video, within the same window—no need to navigate to the media's site.
You can upload files in the editor in certain areas of an Ultra course . For example, in a discussion, you can include a document to support your statements. The editor only supports inline viewing for videos in MP4 format. You may need to download videos that use other file types, such as MOV or MPEG.
If you make a change to a file in cloud storage, you need to upload a new copy in your course. More on cloud storage. Add files from the Content Collection. If you already have files stored in the Content Collection, you can add to them in your course.
You can review the list of selected files before you import into your course. Review the Item Name, Date Modified, and Size to confirm that these are the correct files. Forgot something? You can add more items to the list. Select Back to Content Collection to continue browsing.

The supported formats for embedding images are PNG, GIF, JPG, SVG, BMP and ICO. For audio they are MP3 and WAV, and for video they are MP4 and MOV. You can also add social media from other websites to your content. These social media elements that appear in a course are called "mashups.".
You can determine where images appear in relation to your text. You can place the cursor where you want the image to be placed and select the Add Content icon. In the new window, choose one of the Common Tools or Additional Tools available according to the content type you are creating, then browse for the image file.
If you have Course Files, you only have access to the files for the course you're in. With the Content Collection, you may be able to access files for other courses and those files shared institution-wide. Upload one file, multiple files, or a zipped package. Perform an advanced search.
If your browser allows, you can also drag a folder of files. The files upload individually. If the browser doesn't allow you to submit after you upload a folder, select Do not attach in the folder's row to remove it. You can drag the files individually and submit again.
Select How to add descriptions and follow the instructions. Open the file on your computer. If you don't have a copy of the file on your computer, leave the instructor feedback panel and download the file from the course. Add descriptions to your images.

For students with visual impairments, image descriptions that explain the content of an image are crucial for their learning.
Image descriptions are often called "alternative descriptions", "alternative text", and "alt text". This is because they provide a text based, descriptive alternative to the image. Ally checks for image descriptions anywhere there is an image. This includes image files and files that include images. For example, a document or presentation.
An image is decorative when it doesn't add to the information on the page. For example, art work used to separate topics or a photo of someone on the phone when discussing communication skills. They are valuable in their visual appeal but may not need to be read by screen readers.
Insert Image. (1) Click on the Attach Image button (which looks like a picture). (2) Click Browse My Computer to find the image file on your computer. (Note – if you have an image you have previously uploaded to use elsewhere in your course you can click Browse Course)
Remember to re-size your images before uploading. Although you can resize them in the text editing box – this will NOT resize the files and if your image starts out very large, then although it displays as a small image, the file size is still large and will take longer to display for your students.
Before anything, import the test or pool into Blackboard. (You may create a marker in the test items with images to make them easily identifiable.)
In the Images, Files, and Web Links section check the box beside Add images, files, and web links to answers.
