From this virtual classroom, you will receive assignments, interact with instructors and classmates, use message boards, and more. GW Information Technology (GWIT) recommends current operating systems. Your computer should handle these recommended software applications and the following general requirements, which most computers fulfill: Speakers and a microphone or headphones with built-in microphone.
Blackboard is GW's official course management system. You can use it to deliver course materials, assessments, and other learning activities to your students online. You can also provide a live virtual classroom environment using Blackboard Collaborate UItra. Live sessions can be hosted, recorded, and made available to students right in your Blackboard course.
Courses are not created manually in Blackboard. Instead, courses with an instructor assigned to them in the GWeb System are automatically created in Blackboard and associated with each instructor's account. Courses are initially hidden from students until you choose to make it available.
