The grade center in Blackboard can be used to calculate final grades. Depending on your grading schema, you can use the Total Column or Weighted Column to calculate grades.
By default, your Blackboard course already has a Weighted Column called Weighted Total. This existing Weighted Column can be used to calculate each student's final grade for the course. Instructors need to set up this column in order for it to calculate final grades.
The Text option cannot be used as a primary display for weighted grades. The Secondary Display option displays the grade format in the Grade Center - it is not visible to students. Under the Select Columns section, click on a column or category to include in the weighted grade.
By selecting Yes, only items that have grades or attempts will be included in the weighted grade. By selecting No, all items placed in the weighted column will be included, using a value of 0 for any columns that do not have a grade. Under Options, choose whether to: Include the column in Grade Center Calculations. Show the column to students.
In the Submission panel, you can see which attempts have grades and feedback. Select the attempt you want to view. Your submission opens, and you can view your grade and how it was calculated. You can review your work and expand the Feedback panel if your instructor left comments.

If your institution allows, you will receive a notification email for each assignment or test submission that includes information such as attached filenames and sizes. For group assignments, all the members in your group will receive the receipt when one member submits for the group.
Your instructor might leave a video or audio recording for additional feedback to your grade. If there is a feedback recording, you'll see an icon in your feedback area of My Grades. Select the icon to stream the video to your computer or device. You can use standard playback controls such as pause or sliding the player bar.
Tests are (in most cases) assessed by Blackboard, and grades are automatically recorded in the Grade Center. If a Test or Assignment allows for multiple attempts, the instructor may choose which attempt to use.
