The time zone is set automatically by data from your internet browser. In courses, the time zone for due dates and calendar items is responsive to the time zones of the users. Instructors can assign a due date of 11:00PM Eastern time, and a student in the Pacific time zone will see a due date of 8:00PM.

The Due Dates feature lets you know about upcoming coursework. Course items show in Due Dates only if your instructor specified due dates for them.

View Assignment Details If there is an assignment due date, the date displays under the Due heading [1]. If there are availability dates, they display under the Available from and Until headings [2]. You can also view details for all assignments on the Assignments Index Page.
