When posting to a discussion board in Blackboard, you will see that you have a "save draft" button located next to your "submit" button. If you begin to create your post and need to step away, you can click to "save draft" and Blackboard will save what you have entered for you to go back to later and finish.

New course announcements appear immediately when you enter a course. You need to close the New Course Announcements window before you can view course content. After you close the window, it won't appear again. If your instructor posts new announcements, the window appears again with the new announcements only.
You may also be allowed to upload a file from the course's file repository: the Content Collection . If you upload a file from your computer, it won't be saved to the Content Collection.
