Use Collaborate, Zoom, or Teams to create a virtual classroom, office or meeting space in order to communicate with users on campus or anywhere in the world.

Streaming Video

Kaltura allows you to create and share streaming media on University of Arkansas sites and in Blackboard courses.

Student Responsibility and Technical Difficulties Policy

Participants taking Blackboard online courses are responsible for ensuring regular access to all course material from a reliable Internet connection, and access to a standard personal computer or laptop.

Hardware and Software Requirements

A reliable computer is needed with a sound card and high-speed internet connection to submit assignments, create products, participate in online activities, and view Internet resources. Do not rely on a public computer (e.g., library) to complete all course activities.

For issues regarding the Blackboard system, notify your instructor and IT Services. Additional Blackboard support can be found at bbhelp.uark.edu and tips.uark.edu. If you need general computer help, the IT Services website has searchable tech articles for anyone to access. You can reach IT Services by any of the following ways.

Adding Participants to a Course

Once a user is added to the course as an Instructor with User Management, they can start adding participants to the course.

Removing Participants from a Course

If users no longer need to be enrolled the user in this role can remove them from the course. Please note that removing a user from a course deletes all of their work and grades and data and it cannot be recovered.

Changing Roles for Participants

In some cases you may want to change the role of a participant from “student” to something else, such as “instructor.”
