The Blackboard 101 Skills Badge includes basic Blackboard LMS skills for navigation, content creation, communication, and attendance tools.
Blackboard LMS 201 Skills Badge includes the use of the Assignment tool to create two types of Assignment boxes. Faculty will learn to create an assignment submission, grade the assignment submitted by students and use inline mark-up for feedback to students.
The Blackboard LMS 301 Skills Badge includes the creation of the Discussion Board and the proper linking of the Discussion Board to the Content area on which the Discussion Board is attached.
The Blackboard LMS 401 Skills Badge includes the creation of a test or exam. Faculty will learn to create an exam page, populate the exam with different types of questions such as: True or False, Multiple Choice, Matching, and other objective and essay type questions.
The Blackboard LMS 501 Skills Badge includes the creation of Percent Weighted Grade system in the Grade Center. Faculty will learn to create columns and populate them with the Grades and Categories headings/ Faculty will learn to link the columns to categories for the grade calculation and creation of percent weighted total column.
CUNY CIS upgrades Blackboard annually at the end of December. The Fall 2020 Blackboard upgrade is scheduled to begin on Sunday, December 27th at 12:30 am and is expected to be completed by the close of business on Monday, December 28th. Blackboard will be taken offline and there will be no access to the environment during the upgrade.

Blackboard will be taken offline and there will be no access to the environment during the upgrade. The downtime required for the upgrade necessitates that the work be performed in the week between the Christmas and New Year’s holidays as this is the only time when classes are not in session on any CUNY campus.
