Why are some courses restricted?

Some courses are restricted at first so that only a certain group/cohort of students can register before other students can register. If you try to register for a course like this and you are not part of the group/cohort that the course is reserved for, you will be unable to register for the course.

What is priority registration?

There is a priority registration period and an open registration period for each semester. Priority registration is when registration first opens for all terms in a semester. After priority and open registration end for a semester, you can still register for 12-, 8-, or 4-week session courses that have not started yet.

Can you change your schedule after registration?

After registration ends, you can change your schedule (add and drop courses) during the schedule adjustment period for that term. The schedule adjustment period is the last days you can add courses for that term. The schedule adjustment period for each semester or session is the first and second weekday of the term.
