You and students can now access Course Reserves materials and place requests through this link. To access it, simply select “Course Reserves” in the left-hand navigation bar, then click on the link you created beside the icon of the bow and arrow.

Use the search bar or the filter at the top of the page to narrow your view. Use the search function to find courses on the current page. Move between past, current, and upcoming courses. If you have a lot of courses, you can also choose how many courses appear on each page.

To edit the course view for a specific course, edit the course settings. Go to Courses on the Admin Panel and search for the course you want to edit. In the list of results in the Course View column, you can see the view for each course. In the course's menu, select Edit, and then choose the course view.
When you are finished with a course and no longer wish to view it in your course list, you can remove it from the Courses section on the Institution page in Blackboard.Nov 5, 2020

Courses may not appear in the My Courses module in Blackboard for a few reasons: The instructor has not yet published the course for student view (most common reason). The student has not yet successfully registered and paid for the course. There may be an issue with the student's enrollment.
You can also rearrange the courses in your list by clicking and dragging the double-arrow icon (shown in blue) to the left of each course up or down. Click Submit. When you go back to the My Institution page, the classes you unchecked will be hidden. If you rearranged them, they will appear in their new order.Aug 11, 2020
You can contact the professors and ask for syllabi, or the university will likely give you a copy of an old syllabus, with the warning “this may change a little or a lot.” So to answer your detail question, “What is gained?”, the answer is flexibility, which is to the advantage of the student.
