Blackboard (Faculty) - Known Issue: Control Panel (Instructor Menu) Is White, Appears to Be Missing
The control panel in Blackboard provides you with access to a suite of course management tools. You can access the control panel from inside any Blackboard course underneath the left hand customisable navigation panel and just underneath “course management” section.
If you're accessing your course from a mobile device or tablet or from within a small browser window, Blackboard will collapse the sidebar by default. To expand the sidebar, click the blue area at the side of the screen. If you don't see the blue area to expand the sidebar, try enlarging the browser window.Jan 26, 2018
1. The Course Management menu is located on the lower left menu bar on the Course Home Page. The course management menu provides instructors with tools to create, manage and modify the course. Files, Course Tools, Evaluation, Grade Center, Users and Groups, Customization, Packages and Utilities, and Help are available.

Display Course Menu in a Window is the fourth icon from the left. Clicking this icon will open a new browser window and display the course menu. Refresh is the fifth icon from the left. Clicking this icon will refresh the window with newly added content on the course menu.

They can be found by clicking the up and down arrow icon above the Course Menu. From the panel that pops up, select the item you wish to move, then click on the small up or down arrow buttons to move the item to the desired place in the list. When done, click the Submit Button.
To change the course view: Select the list or grid view to change the display on the Courses tab. Click on the down arrow to select the courses to display (current courses, term, past courses) • Use the search bar to search for your course. Change the image in the Grid View for your course by selecting the menu option.
Go to Courses on the Admin Panel and search for the course you want to edit. In the list of results in the Course View column, you can see the view for each course. In the course's menu, select Edit, and then choose the course view. A course must be unavailable to change the course view option.

You can revert your course to Old Blackboard if you are unhappy with the conversion. To revert the course, click "Back to Original Course" at the bottom of the page. If you are happy, choose "Use the Ultra Course" button. Once you choose to use the Ultra course, you can't "go back" to Old Blackboard with this course.
