Join Collaborate from a phone Up to 25 attendees can call into a session from the phone. If the maximum number of dial-in attendees has been reached, nobody else can call in. There is more than one way to call into a Collaborate session with dial-in available.
Access a course, tap Collaborate under Course Materials, and select a session. The Course Room is a default session in Collaborate Ultra. If your instructor disables this room, it will appear in the app as Locked. Tap an available session to launch it in your device's mobile browser.

Create UsersFrom the base navigation, go to Admin > Users > Create User.Enter user information. Every account must have a first name, last name, username, and password. All other fields are optional.
Click “Free Courses” to join an online course for getting started with Collaborate – now available at no cost. Free IT resources to help communicate with instructors and students about using Collaborate for the first time.
Click on the Join Room button in the first box (the general room for the course). Then, the room (as shown below) will come up on the screen. For first-time users, click on the link “download the Blackboard Collaborate Launcher” Click on the Download Launcher button. A pop-up window reminds you to install the launcher.
Collaborate is only visible when the course is available to students. If you don't see Blackboard Collaborate, you may need to make the course available to students. Contact your institution administrator for more help.
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is an alternative to Zoom. It allows instructors to meet synchronously with students at a set time and place. Like Zoom, BB Collaborate also allows hosts to share content or a whiteboard, record meeting sessions, create breakout rooms, and poll participants.May 23, 2020
