The course room is an open session dedicated to your course. This makes it easier for you to use Collaborate with the Ultra experience in your courses. It also provides you and your students a convenient launch point for classes or impromptu meetings. The course room is on by default but can be turned off.

Go to Collaborate in your course. Select the session name and select the join option. If offered by your institution, you can use the phone number to join the session anonymously. To learn more, see Join sessions from your phone.

Obtaining the Guest Link To obtain a guest link for a session: Click on the button with the three dots to the right of the course room or the session link. Click on the Copy Guest Link option in the menu. The Guest Link URL will appear on screen.Oct 24, 2020

Join Collaborate from a phone Up to 25 attendees can call into a session from the phone. If the maximum number of dial-in attendees has been reached, nobody else can call in. There is more than one way to call into a Collaborate session with dial-in available.
Blackboard Collaborate is free for all staff to use, and there is no restriction on the maximum number of sessions that can be run at any one time.
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is an alternative to Zoom. It allows instructors to meet synchronously with students at a set time and place. Like Zoom, BB Collaborate also allows hosts to share content or a whiteboard, record meeting sessions, create breakout rooms, and poll participants.May 23, 2020
Select the “Attendees” Icon from the Collaborate Panel to view the all of the participants in the session. Attendees have microphone and camera settings in the same location as your own (at the bottom of the screen).
