The Ultra experience includes live closed captioning. This provides an accessible learning experience for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, as well as for students whose native language is different from the moderator's.
Select Subtitles and CC. In the drop-down menu, choose the language that's spoken most in the video and click Set language. Click the Add subtitles or CC button. Choose the language for the subtitles or closed captions you want to create.
With the closed-captioning feature, session attendees can transcribe audio information for users who are deaf and hard of hearing. During the live session and in a recording of the session, you can view the transcribed text. You can also save the transcription in a text file.
The recording is only available to group members and instructors/TAs via the group's Collaborate page. Students cannot share a link or download the recording. Only the instructor/TA has the ability to get a link to the recording, edit the name, and delete the recording.Jan 28, 2021
Set the subtitle option in the Disc menu to On. When you set up a timer recording you will need to ensure the STTL option is set to on. If the subtitles are part of the broadcast then the unit will record them. During playback you can press the STTL button to display the subtitles.
Once you make a YouTube video upload your video file head over to the YouTube studio editor. There you can go to the subtitles panel and choose to add new subtitles or closed captions.
