For anyone serving in the role of Moderator or Presenter in a Collaborate conference, Blackboard recommends using either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. As of now, these are the only browsers that support WebRTC (Real-Time Conferencing) technology and Collaborate's Share Application feature.
Blackboard Learn supports these primary browsers:Firefox from Mozilla: Windows and Mac.Safari from Apple: Mac only.Microsoft Edge from Microsoft: Windows 10 only.
Open the Safari Preferences menu and select Websites. Select Camera or Microphone. Find Collaborate in the list of Currently Open Websites and select Allow from the menu.

A known Microsoft Edge issue has caused problems attaching and submitting open Microsoft Office files in Blackboard Learn courses. To help prevent file submission problems, if you use Microsoft Edge, Learn warns you that you should close files before uploading them.
We strongly recommend Blackboard students use the latest version of Mozilla Firefox for Windows or Mac because it is the most compatible with our current Blackboard systems.
The problem occurs when you are using Safari on a Mac computer. You are able to login to myCommNet but when you click the link to Blackboard it requires an additional login. This is usually due to the browser not accepting cookies. You could workaround this by using a different browser such as Chrome.
